Position Summary/Objective: The Marketing Coordinator will assist the Marketing team in the development and execution of marketing programs and campaigns across Timberwolves and Lynx franchises, lead the marketing efforts Basketball Academy, Community Impact and Live Programming & Entertainment, and support the Sr. Project Manager and Retail Marketing Director. A successful Marketing Coordinator will have strong attention to detail, organizational skills, a willingness to dive into any project, and a comfort level with executing several projects at a time across departments.
Essential Functions

Brand & Acquisition Marketing (50%)
1. Support the Marketing team with execution of marketing campaigns across owned and paid marketing channels, including but not limited to digital, video, TV, radio, and in-arena.
2. Lead the marketing planning and execution for Basketball Academy, Community Impact, and Live Programming & Entertainment, with support from the Acquisition Marketing Manager.
3. Lead in-arena and event giveaway execution, including overseeing the Promotion Assistants, determining their schedules, and coordinating their assistance.
4. Manage relationships with Target Center staff and security to ensure flawless execution of giveaways and activations.
5. Support the Marketing Manager with all in-market activations and events.
6. Recap campaigns and programs in partnership with the Acquisition Marketing Manager.
7. Coordinate marketing and creative team logistics for supplies & promotional assets.
8. Maintain all storage for marketing assets and company vehicles.
Project Coordination (40%)
1. Manage variety of small-sized-to-large projects including multi-platform and multi-department initiatives that require identification of resource allocation, project tasks, budget and timeline.
2. Enhance efficiency of project workflow from start to finish while communicating updates to all project requesters and stakeholders, ensuring final assets are delivered on schedule and meet Timberwolves and Lynx brand standards.
3. Support Marketing team with integrated campaigns from initial touch base through execution
4. Help maintain the marketing calendar via AirTable to ensure Marketing & Creative stays on timelines for all major campaigns and milestones.
5. Support the Senior Marketing Project Manager in establishing and enforcing the Creative Operating Model.
6. Help manage 3rd party vendor relationships for promotional and print projects and is responsible for ideating and problem solving when challenges arise.
Retail Marketing Coordination (10%)
1. Manage the organization’s internal ordering processes, leading the creation and management of internal tracking systems to ensure all orders are accounted for and paid for by the appropriate parties. Includes counting in internal use inventory and managing discrepancies.
2. Act as main point of contact for fulfilling merchandise and gifting requests for ownership, senior leadership, department heads, partners, influencers, player family, etc. Includes fulfilling orders (sometimes last-minute) in a timely manner.

Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in marketing, advertising or project management is preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are typically Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM-5:30PM. In addition to working office hours staff may be required to work Timberwolves and Lynx home games as well as external events including but not limited to: charity and networking events. Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment available. This job also operates in a sports arena which includes bleachers/steps as well as moderate to high levels of noise.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position as well as operate computers and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, printer and telephone. Staff will frequently sit, stand, walk, and ascend and descend bleachers/steps in the arena. Staff may occasionally move boxes of merchandise weighing up to 30 pounds.
Travel
Position may require some travel to external events.
Benefits & Compensation:
- Sales Compensation: The base salary range for this exempt role will be: $50,000-$60,000. Total compensation & offer package will include the following:
