The Opportunity

The Director of Social & Influencer position requires the ability to apply social media, influencer, and paid social knowledge and expertise to actionable insights and recommendations primarily for our B2B technology clients. The Director will help lead the Social Media and Influencer Account Managers in driving strategic expertise within the team, develop innovative strategies to meet and exceed client business objectives, and lead tactical execution and optimization of social media, influencer, and paid social programs.

Our award-winning team works across a diverse range of B2B sectors on some of the largest and most dynamic clients within the agency. We are looking for an enthusiastic leader and B2B social media and influencer marketing expert who brings a strategic lens to client engagement, stays up to date on the latest names and trends in social media and influencer marketing, brings an analytical eye to reportings, and is exceptional at all elements of influencer executions.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior advisor and consultant for the agency, providing high-level, strategic guidance and counsel for Method staff and clients, charting teams and clients towards well-conceptualized social media, influencer, and paid social programs
  • Lead and mentor the social media and influencer marketing team, focusing on professional development, coaching and best practices
  • Drive knowledge-sharing while developing initiatives across the agency that help shape the future direction of Method's marketing services
  • Stay current on social and influencer trends, actively testing new tools and channels to ensure Method's service offering remains competitive in the market
  • Develop new skills by participating in ongoing training, workshops, etc.
  • Work with leadership to manage team hours, client budgets and staffing needs
  • Develop and lead training programs to upskill agency staff on social and influencer best practices and emerging trends and platforms
  • Be an expert on measurement, staying current on new reporting trends, analytics and social listening tools

Account Management & Execution

  • Create holistic social and influencer strategies that demonstrate clear ROI and business impact for clients across various B2B technology sectors demonstrating industry knowledge and a deep understanding of your clients’ business
  • Leverage digital marketing best practices across all campaigns while ensuring alignment with paid, earned, and owned media strategies
  • Embody excellent concierge service and account management
  • Lead critical conversations with clients with confidence, guiding them through challenges and tough feedback while advising (rather than taking orders) and being comfortable leading budget and scope conversations proactively
  • Ensure all client billings are up to date and all finance queries are followed up in a timely manner
  • Lead the development and implementation of social media, influencer, and paid social campaigns for assigned clients leveraging social media and influencer best-practices across all campaigns
  • Build and manage effective B2B influencer content programs designed to expand reach and build engagement, overseeing outreach, relationship management, and campaign execution
  • Analyze campaign performance against client KPIs and report on trends and insights to key stakeholders
  • Develop content briefs to support short and long-form social content for brands, executives and influencer programs managing development timelines from start to finish
  • Think creatively and collaborate with various departments (design, copywriters, PR, etc.) to manage client needs and deliver content in a timely manner
  • Engage and grow audiences for Method clients, increase thought leadership, mitigate issues, and elevate brands' online profiles

Business Development

  • Help lead the growth of Method's social and influencer practice through strategic contributions to new business opportunities by supporting new business pitches and upselling services to existing clients
  • Identify and share market trends and emerging platforms to contribute to new service offerings and revenue streams
  • Draft statements of work for new projects and retainers, working with Method's finance team to seek necessary approvals
  • Contribute to the development of standardized processes, playbooks, and methodologies to scale the digital marketing practice
  • Support cross-selling opportunities within existing client accounts by identifying needs and developing tailored digital solutions

What We’re Looking For

  • 8-10+ years of social media, influencer and paid social media management experience
  • Experience in applying social media, influencer, and paid campaigns to brand-building initiatives
  • Expertise in social and influencer platform research and reporting resources
  • Familiarity with third-party ad serving technologies and social media and influencer management platforms
  • Proven track record of budget oversight and financial management for digital campaigns
  • Experience leading new business initiatives with social, influencer and paid social strategy development
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Polished presentations skills are a must
  • Ability to work successfully with teams on multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Desire to work in an industry which is constantly evolving and presenting new and unique challenges
  • Ability to sell ideas clearly and deliver value
  • Self-driven to meet and exceed revenue and goals for our clients

Salary Ranges

We believe all employees should be rewarded competitively and equitably, using practices that are simple and transparent. Final compensation for this role will be determined by a number of factors including candidate’s education, relevant work experience and geographic location.

  • Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000
