What we’re seeking
The PR/Social Account Supervisor will lead integrated communications programs across public relations, content, and social media. This role is ideal for an experienced communicator who excels at client leadership, strategic thinking, creative storytelling, and managing day-to-day execution. This role brings a balance of social strategy, content expertise, and earned media know-how, with the maturity and presence to confidently guide client relationships.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Client & Account Leadership
- Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact across multiple accounts, fostering strong, trusted relationships.
- Translate client business objectives into strategic PR and social programming.
- Lead client meetings, present strategic recommendations, and manage expectations around timelines, deliverables, and results.
- Oversee account team workflows, ensuring quality control, timeliness, and operational excellence.
Social Media & Content Strategy
- Develop social media strategies across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.
- Oversee content calendars, briefing materials, creative concepts, and community-management guidelines.
- Guide content creation, including copywriting, short-form video direction, visual concepts, and partnership ideas.
- Comfortable with UGC-style content creation and willing to jump in to film, shoot or produce scrappy, in-the-moment content when needed.
- Analyze performance data to provide insights and optimize content and channel strategy.
- Stay on top of platform trends, tools, and algorithm updates to inform recommendations.
Earned Media & PR Execution
- Provide strategic guidance on earned media opportunities to support integrated campaigns.
- Support senior media strategists in developing story angles, messaging, and relevant press materials (pitches, press releases, backgrounders).
- Maintain and cultivate relationships with key journalists and creators across relevant categories.
- Oversee tracking, reporting, and measuring media results.
Team Management
- Manage one or more junior team members; provide coaching, delegation, and performance feedback.
- Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented working style internally and with client partners.
- Help recruit and develop talent as the team grows.
Project & Budget Management
- Manage project budgets, scopes, and timelines to ensure profitable, successful delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (creative, production, paid media) to execute integrated campaigns.
Job Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated success managing client relationships and leading day-to-day account work.
- Strong understanding of social media strategy, platform best practices, and content development.
- Experience supporting earned media programs and familiarity with media relations fundamentals.
- Clear, compelling writer and communicator who can craft narratives for clients and audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
- Proactive problem-solver with excellent judgment and a collaborative working style.
- Familiarity with influencer marketing and creator partnerships.
- Analytical mindset with comfort interpreting performance metrics and social listening insights.
**Education and Experience
:**
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in public relations, digital communications, or social media required (agency experience strongly preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, business, communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in categories such as lifestyle, consumer, wellness, hospitality, or similar industries preferred.
- Experience with tools like Sprout, Tagger, Meltwater, Muck Rack, Canva, etc is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves spending time at a desk and working on a computer for extended periods, using standard office equipment, reviewing documents, and communicating regularly with others by email and phone. Team members may also occasionally need to move around the office (if on-site) or their home workspace to access materials and should be able to travel as needed for client meetings/engagement, team collaboration, or industry events.
