A.Watts Collective is a boutique marketing, public relations, and influencer agency based in Parker, Colorado. We specialize in creating buzz and building influence for destinations, hospitality brands, franchises, restaurants, attractions, and community-driven organizations. Our work is highly collaborative, fast-paced, and rooted in strong media relationships, strategic storytelling, and boots-on-the-ground execution.
We are looking for leaders who understand both modern marketing and strong PR and media relations, and who are excited to help scale a growing agency while supporting a talented, creative team.
About the Role
The Director of Staff & Strategy plays a pivotal leadership role in aligning people, processes, and performance across the organization. This position oversees internal team operations, provides strategic direction, and ensures that all staff are equipped, supported, and aligned with company goals. The ideal candidate excels in communication, project management, problem-solving, and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
This role requires experience in marketing and strong experience in public relations and media relations, with an understanding of how strategy, execution, and client expectations intersect.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Leadership & Development
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and performance of internal staff.
- Develop training, onboarding, and growth pathways for team members.
- Conduct regular check-ins, evaluations, and coaching to support employee success.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance team culture.
Operational Management
- Build and manage internal workflows, systems, and SOPs to improve efficiency.
- Ensure tasks and deadlines are met across departments through clear direction and accountability.
- Support resource allocation and staffing decisions as the organization scales.
- Manage weekly staff meetings, updates, and internal communications.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Partner with leadership to set quarterly and annual goals.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans for internal teams.
- Identify operational gaps and implement solutions to strengthen company infrastructure.
- Track performance metrics and operational KPIs, providing regular reporting to leadership.
Client & Project Oversight
- Ensure the internal team is prepared and supported to meet client expectations.
- Assist in strategic planning for major client initiatives, launches, and events.
- Oversee cross-departmental coordination to ensure projects are delivered on time.
Marketing, PR & Media Leadership
- Provide strategic oversight across marketing, public relations, and media relations efforts.
- Support high-level marketing strategy development for key clients and internal initiatives.
- Guide PR strategy, media pitching priorities, and storytelling alignment across accounts.
- Ensure campaigns align with client goals, brand positioning, and measurable outcomes.
- Collaborate with PR and marketing leads to maintain strong media relationships and coverage standards.
Work Environment & Travel Expectations
- This is a hybrid role with in-office collaboration 1–2 days per week at our Parker, Colorado office.
- In-state and out-of-state travel is required to support client launches, events, activations, and team planning as needed.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of leadership, operations, or strategic management experience.
- Strong experience in marketing, public relations, and media relations.
- Proven background in team management, workflow design, and performance oversight.
- Excellent communication, emotional intelligence, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proven ability to execute strategy and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, creative, and collaborative agency environment.
Compensation & Schedule
- Employment Type: Full-Time W2 Employee
- Compensation: $40–$47 per hour
- Schedule: 40 hours per week
- Location: Hybrid
- Office Location: Parker, Colorado
- Expected Start Date: February 2026
