About the Role
A.Watts Collective is seeking an Account Manager to own day-to-day client communication, manage projects, and lead and manage a small internal account team to ensure seamless delivery across marketing, PR, social media, and influencer initiatives.
This role begins as a contract-to-hire position, starting as a 1099 independent contractor, with the intention of transitioning to a full-time W2 role based on performance, business needs, and mutual fit.
The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and plays a key role in team leadership, workflow management, and maintaining high-quality client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients.
- Lead weekly or biweekly client check-ins, updates, and reporting.
- Understand client goals, brand guidelines, and priorities.
- Provide strategic recommendations to help clients meet their marketing and PR objectives.
Team Leadership & Management
- Manage and support a small internal team supporting assigned accounts.
- Assign tasks, review work, and ensure quality and consistency across deliverables.
- Provide clear direction, feedback, and accountability to team members.
- Collaborate with leadership to support team growth and performance.
Project Management & Coordination
- Own timelines, deliverables, and campaign coordination from start to finish.
- Create agendas, manage tasks, and coordinate internal communication with social media, PR, creative, influencer, and operations teams.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed on time, on brand, and within scope.
Campaign & PR Support
- Assist in planning, launching, and managing marketing, social, influencer, and PR campaigns.
- Support content drafts, approvals, media-related timelines, and review processes.
- Monitor campaign progress and proactively address challenges or scope changes.
Reporting & Performance Insights
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports for clients.
- Track KPIs across social media, influencer, PR, and broader marketing efforts.
- Partner with internal teams to surface insights and optimization opportunities.
Communication & Documentation
- Maintain clear and organized records of client communication, deliverables, and preferences.
- Ensure internal teams have accurate context and direction.
- Manage feedback loops to keep clients and teams aligned.
Qualifications
- 2–4+ years of experience in account management, client services, marketing, PR, or project management.
- Experience leading or managing junior team members or contractors preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
- Experience working across marketing, social media, PR, or influencer coordination preferred.
- Ability to think strategically while managing detailed day-to-day workflows.
- Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced environment.
- Experience with project management tools such as ClickUp, Asana, or Monday.com is a plus.
Contract Details (Initial Phase)
- Classification: 1099 Independent Contractor
- Schedule: 40 hours a week
- Compensation:$30-$35/hour
- Location: Hybrid
- Travel: Some travel required for client events, meetings, or on-site support
- Expected Start Date: February 2025
Conversion to Full-Time W2 (Upon Hire)
Upon successful completion of the contract period, this role is expected to transition into a full-time W2 position.
Anticipated Full-Time Details
- Compensation: $30-$35 per hour
- Schedule: 40 hours per week

Contractor Classification
This is a 1099 independent contractor position during the contract phase. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, equipment, and work schedule unless otherwise outlined in a signed agreement.
