Corgan is actively recruiting a dynamic Media Relations Specialist to join the firm as part of our Marketing team. Tackle these responsibilities alongside a team of creative, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about their work and ready to collaborate to achieve outstanding results. Our ideal team member is passionate and progressively seeking more responsibilities to expand their expertise. **This role is an in-office position located in Downtown Dallas. This is not a hybrid role, nor is it remote.**
Responsibilities:
- Execute strategic media relations plans aligned with firm goals and priorities.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers in architecture, design, business, and industry trade publications.
- Proactively pitch stories, press releases, and bylined articles to secure high-value coverage.
- Partner with leadership, marketing, and design teams to identify and elevate project stories, research and firm milestones.
- Monitor media coverage, industry trends, and competitor activity; provide insights and recommendations.
- Develop press materials including press releases, media lists, fact sheets, and briefing books and messaging guides.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field (required)
- 6–10 years of experience in media relations, PR, or corporate communications (required)
- 2 years within the architecture, design, or real estate industries (required)
- Strong portfolio of media placements with top-tier, regional/local, and trade outlets
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills and knowledge of AP Style
- Established relationships with key media covering architecture, design, and related fields
- Ability to translate complex design concepts into accessible, compelling narratives
- Strategic thinker with strong organizational and project management skills
- Comfortable working with senior leaders and managing sensitive communications
