Public Relations & Marketing Coordinator

Position Overview

The Public Relations & Marketing Coordinator will directly support the Public Relations & Marketing Director in executing day‑to‑day communications, marketing initiatives, influencer programs, and brand activations for JOVANI and its portfolio of brands. This role is highly collaborative, fast‑paced, and ideal for a detail‑oriented self‑starter with a strong interest in fashion, media, and brand storytelling.

The Coordinator will serve as a key organizational and executional partner—helping translate high‑level strategy into flawless execution across PR, influencer marketing, events, and digital initiatives.

Core Responsibilities - Public Relations Support

  • Assist in the development, drafting, and distribution of press releases, media alerts, and pitches
  • Maintain and update media lists across fashion, bridal, prom, celebrity, and lifestyle categories
  • Track press placements, compile coverage reports, and support monthly/quarterly PR recaps
  • Coordinate sample trafficking for editors, stylists, celebrities, and influencers (including shipping, returns, and tracking)
  • Support red carpet, awards season, and celebrity placement efforts by organizing pull requests and lookbooks
  • Monitor media coverage, industry news, and competitor activity

Influencer & Celebrity Marketing

  • Support execution of ongoing influencer programs (e.g., ambassador initiatives, creator partnerships, and seasonal campaigns)
  • Assist with outreach, onboarding, and communication with influencers and talent teams
  • Track deliverables, posting schedules, usage rights, and campaign performance
  • Organize influencer seeding lists, gifting logistics, and follow‑ups
  • Help maintain internal databases for influencers, celebrities, and stylists

Marketing & Brand Initiatives

  • Assist in the planning and execution of seasonal launches (Prom, Evening, Bridal, Couture)
  • Support digital marketing initiatives including social campaigns, geo‑targeting efforts, and retailer collaborations
  • Help coordinate content needs for campaigns, events, and partnerships (imagery, captions, timelines)
  • Maintain marketing calendars and ensure deadlines are met across departments
  • Support creation of internal and external marketing materials, presentations, and recaps

Events & Experiential Marketing

  • Assist with planning and execution of fashion shows, market weeks, retailer events, and brand activations
  • Support logistics for domestic and international events (budget, guest lists, run‑of‑show, vendor coordination)
  • Help manage on‑site execution including check‑in, backstage support, and post‑event follow‑up
  • Assist with event recap decks, media follow‑ups, and performance summaries

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the PR & Marketing Director
  • Manage calendars, deadlines, and follow‑ups for ongoing projects
  • Maintain organized digital filing systems for press, influencer, and campaign assets
  • Assist with budget tracking, invoices, and expense reporting related to PR and marketing initiatives
  • Coordinate cross‑department communication with sales, production, and leadership teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Fashion Merchandising, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in PR, marketing, fashion, or media (internships included)-fashion, beauty, bridal, or lifestyle brands preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; familiarity with social media platforms
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Premiere Pro) as well as Canva and AI tools. --Important not to rely on basic Canva/AI tools. Must have a foundational understanding on how to create from scratch if needed.
