JOB OVERVIEW:

The Sweet Ride Operations & Brand Manager serves as both the operator and public ambassador for eegee’s Sweet Ride food truck program. This role manages all aspects of Sweet Ride operations—from event execution and staff leadership to budgeting, vehicle maintenance, and marketing coordination. Acting as a mobile extension of the eegee’s brand, this leader ensures every activation delivers an exceptional guest experience while building community engagement and brand visibility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate the Sweet Ride as a standalone business unit, driving sales, controlling costs, and ensuring flawless execution.
  • Oversee all event logistics, from planning and setup to guest engagement and teardown.
  • Ensure every activation reflects eegee’s brand standards, service quality, and safety protocols.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to maintain consistency and team performance.
  • Recruit, train, and manage Assistant Manager and part-time event staff.
  • Hold team members accountable to company policies and operational standards.
  • Foster a positive, guest-focused team culture.
  • Manage Sweet Ride’s operating budget, including staffing, fuel, vendor fees, and event costs.
  • Handle all on-site transactions, cash handling, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Track and report on sales, guest engagement, and ROI for each event.
  • Submit timely post-event reports summarizing results, feedback, and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain Sweet Ride’s cleanliness, safety, and functionality in accordance with health codes and brand standards.
  • Coordinate regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
  • Manage event inventory, including products, promotional items, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all food handling and health department regulations.
  • Research, vet, and schedule community events (festivals, fairs, sporting events, etc.) that align with brand goals.
  • Secure necessary permits, insurance, and event approvals.
  • Negotiate participation fees or trade partnerships with event organizers.
  • Evaluate event performance and recommend future participation based on ROI and brand impact.
  • Build relationships with schools, nonprofits, and local organizations for potential collaborations and fundraising events.
  • Support local store marketing efforts through Sweet Ride activations and community outreach.
  • Lead sampling and visibility events that enhance brand awareness and goodwill.
  • Coordinate with Marketing to promote events through digital, social, and in-store channels.
  • Capture and share guest-generated content and event highlights for marketing use.
  • Provide real-time support for social media coverage and influencer engagement.
  • Present regular program recaps and insights to Marketing leadership, recommending improvements and future strategies.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage operations independently.
  • Proven ability to drive sales and manage budgets effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and restaurant or POS management systems.
  • Able to problem-solve, multitask, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • 2+ years of experience in restaurant or food service management (QSR preferred)
  • Ability to drive the Sweet Ride vehicle to and from events.
  • Obtain Food Protection Manager Certification within 90 days of hire.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Frequent travel to events and store locations.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work around kitchen equipment, varying temperatures, and loud environments.
  • Engage in hands-on activities such as setup, serving, and cleanup at events.
