Artisan Council is seeking a Senior Social Media Manager to lead social strategy, execution, and growth across several top-tier beauty and DTC clients. This is a senior, hands-on role that touches all aspects of Social and Content, including content strategy, planning, engagement, follower growth, analytics, creative briefs, live content production, moderation, influencer integration, reporting, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate is deeply fluent in TikTok and short-form video, highly analytical, culturally plugged in, and confident managing both clients and teams. You are hungry to learn, take ownership of your work, and proactively make strategic, data-driven recommendations.

What will you be responsible for?
- Ideate and present both short- and long-term social media campaigns and ongoing platform strategies to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the ongoing development, execution, scheduling, management, and measurement of social media content and campaigns across TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms for multiple clients.
- Manage and maintain high-volume content calendars, including briefing, directing, and collaborating with content producers, designers, creators, and influencers.
- Partner with Social Media Strategists to deliver integrated organic and paid social strategies, including boosted content, optimization, implementation, and reporting.
- Develop, manage, and scale social initiatives to increase reach, engagement, follower growth, and overall brand impact.
- Transform social media performance data into actionable insights, providing accurate interpretation and consistent reporting of social metrics, campaign performance, partnerships, web impact, and sales results.
- Lead creator and influencer sourcing, briefing, feedback, and integration into broader content strategies.
- Oversee community management and moderation, identifying opportunities to drive efficiency, innovation, and deeper audience engagement.
- Create and execute original content when needed, including filming, basic editing, and live content production.
- Manage client requests, balance competing priorities, and conduct ad hoc analysis as needed to support business goals.
- Monitor cultural trends, platform updates, and audience behavior through social listening, competitor analysis, and ongoing research.
- Maintain deep knowledge and authority in the beauty and DTC space, including key brands, emerging players, and cultural trends.
- Stay current on emerging and available social media channels, tools, and best practices, particularly within TikTok and short-form video.
- Liaise directly with clients and attend meetings, content shoots, and off-site production opportunities as needed.
- Compile and deliver clear, compelling reports that communicate performance and strategic recommendations to clients and leadership.
- Support financial management of client and company expenses related to social programs.
- Lead, mentor, and support junior team members, contributing to team development and collaborative culture.
- Work flexibly and responsively, including occasional non-traditional hours, time-sensitive deadlines, and last-minute client requests.
What kind of skills should you have?

- 5+ years of community and social content management experience, with a strong focus on beauty brands and products.
- Deep expertise in TikTok and short-form video, with strong working knowledge of Instagram; experience with additional platforms is a plus.
- Proven track record of significantly growing social media accounts and driving engagement, reach, and cultural relevance.
- Experience with high-volume content planning and execution.
- Hands-on content creation experience, including filming, basic editing, and TikTok best practices.
- Creator and influencer sourcing, briefing, and feedback experience.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using platform analytics, Google Analytics, and third-party social tools.
- Deep understanding of pop culture, internet culture, memes, and emerging subcultures.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and drafting SEO-driven copy.
- Proficiency in Google Docs, Google Sheets, Excel, Office Suite, and content production mobile apps; basic Adobe and video editing knowledge a plus.
- Experience working with multiple content management systems and learning new platforms quickly.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, especially under pressure or tight deadlines.
- Agile, resilient, and comfortable managing last-minute changes and fast turnarounds.
- Self-starter with strong collaboration skills and a proactive mindset.
- Understanding of overall commercial business practices, trading terms, and client management.
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000
Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range.
