D&H Supply Chain Services is seeking an accomplished and trailblazing Head of Marketing, the division’s first dedicated marketing hire, to become an integral part of our expanding supply chain services division. The Head of Marketing will report to the VP of D&H SCALE and will be supported by a very experienced supply chain leadership team. They will be instrumental in driving the growth of our business by creating and executing marketing strategies aimed at awareness, generating new business and retaining existing client business. You’ll not only establish the strategy but also roll up your sleeves to write copy, test campaigns, launch content, and hire your first teammates as momentum builds. In additional this marketing leader will collaborate with the broader D&H Marketing Organization, including Public Relations, and be part of the D&H Marketing Community.
The preferred candidate should demonstrate proven success and experience in marketing for a 3PL or eCommerce fulfillment provider, with additional emphasis on delivering solutions and services tailored to B2B clients. Overall, the candidate should be enthusiastic about identifying the overall branding, growth marketing, demand generation and the client engagement lifecycle, acquisition, analytics, and driving measurable results through brand impressions and growth.
As the Head of Marketing, you will collaborate closely with business leaders, sales, customer success, product development and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of growth initiatives that align to the overall marketing strategy and priorities. You will lead a marketing function that will amplify revenue and position D&H Supply Chain Services brands as leaders in eCommerce and omnichannel logistics.
Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy and Execution
- Identification of successful growth marketing strategies, development of sales tools including client case studies, and collateral to support ongoing sales efforts.
- Recommend and implement innovative marketing ideas through creative content creation to achieve competitive advantages and market differentiation.
Awareness
- Candidate will serve as the steward of D&H Supply Chain Services brands, ensuring proper, consistent, and respectful awareness and usage.
- Coordinate external marketing efforts with industry publications and industry analysts.
- Oversee all online marketing activities including social media properties and the company website. Monitor SEO and SEM success via tracking and optimization. Coordinate efforts for reviewing and deployment of improvements to website(s) to best conform to next-gen Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) response and position D&H Supply Chain Services brands for tomorrow’s client
- Evaluate user behavior and assess acquisition strategies to maintain a competitive edge in growth marketing.
Demand Generation and Sales Accelerator
- Coordinate market research with sales leaders and lines of business to grow the business through targeted campaigns in verticals identified for growth.
- Create content such as case studies, blogs, and white papers. Ensure alignment with marketing strategies to nurture prospects and clients through the buyer journey.
- Collaborate closely with sales and account management teams to ensure marketing strategies convert to qualified leads and closed deals, while driving business success through innovative growth marketing initiatives.
Digital Marketing and Optimization
- Manage end-to-end digital marketing campaigns from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with sales objectives, and maximizing ROI through performance evaluation and data analysis.
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive digital marketing strategies across SEO, SEM, GEO, website, email, video, and other channels to drive business growth, lead generation, and brand exposure for all SCALE business lines.
- Monitor digital trends and competitor activities to inform strategy, refine lead generation efforts, and optimize customer acquisition across various channels.
- Leverage the use of marketing automation tools (e.g., CRM, Data Validation, Process Automation) to scale and improve lead nurturing, conversion, and customer engagement.
Budgeting and Performance Management
- Manage advertising budgets, allocate resources effectively, and report on campaign performance, ensuring budget optimization and growth results.
- Establish key performance indicators and metrics for all marketing-based activities.
- Mentor and manage a team, fostering cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement, while building relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and industry influencers.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and/or ABILITIES
- Strong leadership skills and a history of scaling and managing marketing teams in a fluid market. Ability to adapt to trends, allocate resources, cross-train, and influence team performance.
- Persuasive internal voice with clear communication; able to champion strategic initiatives, define advertising budgets, and win support from within the organization.
- Skilled content creator and enabler (case studies, blogs, white papers).
- Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and reach solid conclusions.
- Deep understanding of various digital marketing channels including paid search, SEO, email marketing, social media, and content marketing, maximizing ROI through performance evaluation.
- Experience with marketing automation tools and analytics.
- Willingness to be a changemaker in an environment where your unique voice and direction are critical to our success.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in ecommerce and B2B marketing, with a focus on growth marketing, digital marketing, analytics, demand generation, and performance marketing.
