We're looking for a creative, strategic, and results-driven social media Director to lead our social presence and deepen our connection with both loyal fans and new audiences.

Position Summary:

The Social Media Director will drive the strategic direction, content development, and execution of all social media platforms to grow brand awareness, foster engagement, and support e-commerce and retail growth. You’ll lead a nimble social team, collaborate closely with creative, PR, influencer, and product marketing teams, and bring the Mario Badescu voice to life across channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the overarching social media strategy to align with brand positioning, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Oversee content creation (video, photo, copy) for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook, Threads, and emerging platforms.
  • Manage and mentor a small social team including content creators, community managers, and freelancers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with PR, Influencer Marketing, E-Commerce, and Creative teams to ensure a cohesive voice and message.
  • Lead paid social strategy in collaboration with performance marketing to optimize reach and ROI.
  • Monitor analytics and KPIs , delivering insights, trend forecasts, and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Oversee community management , ensuring consistent, on-brand, and timely engagement with followers and customers.
  • Identify and lead partnerships with influencers, content creators, and brands to expand reach and relevance.
  • Stay ahead of beauty, Gen Z, and social trends—bringing fresh, platform-native ideas to the table regularly.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in social media marketing, with 3+ years in a leadership role—preferably in beauty, skincare, or lifestyle brands.
  • Proven track record of growing and managing social channels with high engagement and follower growth.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, best practices, content formats, and platform-specific strategies.
  • Strong visual and creative eye with experience in managing content calendars and creative briefs.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using tools like Sprout, Dash Hudson, Later, or native platform analytics.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Passion for skincare, beauty, and the evolving digital landscape.
