As Senior Manager, Social Commerce & Community, you will lead the strategy and evolution of Ulta Beauty’s social commerce ecosystem by optimizing existing platforms, identifying new business-driving opportunities, and elevating how we show up across commerce, community, and live shopping experiences. Your leadership will shape the future of our guest and associate communities, strengthen our Inspire shopping feed, and fuel creator and associate-led influence that supports Ulta Beauty’s growth goals.
The ideal candidate will have a social marketing background, be detail-oriented with a history of driving innovative results and possess a passion for beauty with an aptitude for retail.
YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:* Lead Social Commerce Strategy & Innovation: Develop and advance a forward-thinking social commerce strategy across existing and emerging platforms, activating new capabilities that drive conversion, engagement, and brand growth.
- Drive Cross-Functional Exploration of New Opportunities: Partner with digital, merchandising, marketing, and platform teams to identify, test, and operationalize new commerce and community opportunities that enhance the guest experience and unlock incremental revenue.
- Strengthen & Scale Community Programs: Support and guide the Manager of Community to grow an engaged guest community, enhance the Inspire shopping feed, and shape community-driven content strategies that strengthen loyalty and deepen connection.
- Lead Associate Ambassador Program Expansion: Oversee and support the expansion of our Associate Ambassador Program to empower store associates as creators and advocates, driving both brand storytelling and commerce impact.
- Manage Talent & Creator Partnerships: Cultivate and optimize relationships with creators and external talent to fuel community content, commerce initiatives, and live programming—all aligned to business outcomes.
- Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor direct reports, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability while ensuring seamless integration across the broader Social & Influencer team.
- Data-Driven Optimization: Regularly analyze performance insights across commerce and community channels to refine strategy, improve execution, and scale high-performing programs.
: THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS* Experience: 8–10+ years in social media, influencer marketing, social commerce, and/or content strategy with a strong track record of delivering measurable business results.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to translate platform trends, consumer behavior, and performance data into forward-thinking strategies that drive commerce and community impact.
- Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence partners at all levels, and build strong working relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
- Leadership Excellence: Experience managing direct reports with a focus on coaching, development, and building high-performing teams.
- Creative & Talent Fluency: Comfort working with creators, talent managers, and platform partners to develop impactful, commerce-enabled content and live programming.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret data, identify key insights, and optimize strategies to continually improve results.
- Industry Knowledge: Passion for beauty, social media, community-building, retail, and emerging commerce trends.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities and emerging opportunities.
- Travel may be required (<10% of time)
#LI-JR1 #LI-Hybrid : The pay range for this position is $119,300.00 - $160,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
