SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Director of Marketing to join our growing team and lead the development and execution of a comprehensive brand marketing strategy across each of our brands (Kamado Joe, Masterbuilt and Char-Griller). In this pivotal role, you will oversee various aspects of marketing, including creative development, strategic partnerships, event marketing, and public relations. You will be responsible for crafting innovative and high-impact marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, consumer engagement and revenue. Additionally, you will develop and nurture strategic partnerships, spearhead the planning and execution of high-profile events and manage our public relations efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead development and stewardship of brand positioning, visual identity and messaging across all touchpoints.
- Oversee creation of high-impact campaigns, content and storytelling that differentiate our brands and drive consumer engagement and purchase.
- Build integrated marketing plans spanning digital, social, content, email, influencer, PR and retail marketing efforts
- Partner with Brand and Sales to develop compelling go-to-market plans for new product launches.
- Work with brand to translate technical features into simple, inspiring, consumer-friendly messaging that resonates across all channels.
- Own positioning, messaging, packaging input, launch content, and commercialization toolkits.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies
- Develop annual and quarterly marketing strategies aligned with business goals, category priorities, and revenue targets.
- Utilize events as opportunities to strengthen brand connections and generate revenue.
- Identify and establish strategic partnerships that align with our brand values, enhance brand visibility and market reach.
- Leverage consumer insights, market data, and performance metrics to shape strategy and inform decision-making.
- Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation across brand and performance investments.
- Routinely monitor campaign ROI, brand health, and consumer sentiment.
- Handle all public relations efforts in collaboration with agency partner.
- Work with company leaders to determine long and short-term goals and key metrics.
- Lead, mentor and coach a high-performing marketing team (4 direct reports)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong strategic thinker and tactical executor with the drive to roll-up your sleeves to get things done
- Experience managing in-house teams and agency relationships
- Proven track record for developing holistic brand-first marketing strategies
- Love of all things brand and high attention to detail
- Sense of ownership, ability to manage multiple projects while focused on key priorities
- Ability to translate data into actionable marketing plans
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills.
- Capability to work well under pressure and meet quick deadlines
- Must have good time management skills
- Ability to adapt well to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Passion to change the outdoor cooking experience and contribute to the company vision
- Ability to travel as needed (20-30%)
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of progressive responsibility in marketing, brand management or similar experience in a high-performance organization
- 4+ years of team management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field required
- Consumer goods experience required (outdoor products, big ticket durable items or enthusiast products is a plus)
- Demonstrated experience bringing new products to market

- Hybrid work in office environment in Chamblee, GA or Phenix City, AL office
