The Social Media Research & Insights Specialist is the Industry & Learning department’s digital intelligence engine—tracking, analyzing, and translating fast-moving social media trends into actionable insights for real estate professionals. This role serves as the bridge between platform mastery and content creation, ensuring Keller Williams stays ahead of emerging algorithms, audience behaviors, and viral content models. By decoding what drives growth and engagement online, the Social Media Research & Insights Specialist fuels the creation of high-value educational materials, including one-pagers, playbooks, and agent training tools.

The Impact You'll Make

Decodes Platforms

  • Masters and monitors the evolution of major social platforms and their algorithms, providing timely insights on what works and why
  • Continuously researches and analyzes trends, algorithm updates, and best practices across platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Threads, and emerging apps)
  • Maintains a 'Social Media Tracker' documenting key findings, updates, and examples
  • Benchmarks agent models, including but not limited to solo agents and teams

Drives Growth Through Intelligence

  • Identifies the tactics, hacks, and content types that increase reach, subscribers, and engagement across platforms
  • Monitors competitor and outside ecosystem influencers to benchmark engagement and innovation
  • Identifies creators, brands, and campaigns achieving breakout engagement to extract applicable strategies
  • Tracks content types, frequency, and tone that drives visibility, subscriber growth, and audience retention
  • Tests and validates platform 'hacks,' posting patterns, and engagement triggers to determine real-world application for KW and its agents

Educates Internal Stakeholders

  • Develops ongoing internal reports summarizing algorithm shifts and content insights
  • Translates digital insights into clear, actionable learning tools for real estate professionals
  • Advises the Industry & Learning and Marketing department teams on emerging opportunities for visibility and brand reach
  • Collaborates with Content Leaders and Instructional Designers to translate research findings into educational materials such as one-pagers and playbooks
  • Creates internal briefs and content outlines for workshops, masterminds, or digital learning products
  • Partners with the Marketing department to ensure social insights inform company-wide digital strategy
  • Participates in content planning sessions, providing data-driven input on audience trends and attention patterns
  • Contributes research to our event materials, including Family Reunion, Mega Agent Camp, and Masterminds, related to social growth and marketing
  • Converts research into real-life applications to test the effectiveness and accuracy of determined models

The Experience You'll Need

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree. Four (4) years of relevant education and work experience may be substituted for degree
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience researching and analyzing trends, algorithm updates, and best practices across social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Threads, and emerging apps)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience testing and validating platform “hacks”, posting patterns, and engagement triggers to determine real world application
  • Strong understanding of social media algorithms and backend tools, with proficiency using platform analytics and feature sets to drive engagement
  • Proven ability to think creatively and develop outside-the-box solutions in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
  • Polished and professional demeanor
  • Well versed in social media developments, techniques, and trends

Preferred Requirements:

  • Real estate knowledge and/or experience
  • Experience successfully creating content and generating a following on social media
