Video Content Creator / Social Media Assistant (Part Time / Fractional)

Established in 2011, International Air Tool Company is a specialty industrial distributor focused on pneumatic tools and abrasives used in welding, fabrication, and metal working. We are a small husband wife led business based in San Marcos, California.

The Opportunity:

As distributors, we have access to literally thousands of different industrial products, many manufactured by world class brands. We need your help showcasing these products in action and broadcasting these videos to the world!

We are seeking a relationship with a talented and reliable creator / social media assistant who can dig into the subject matter and learn enough to make videos about the items we sell...You will have our supplier's websites, our local reps, and the owner at your disposal as a "Subject Matter Expert" - However the creative part would be on you.

The goal of the position is to drive e-commerce sales and generate sales leads from local end users.

We are looking for someone resourceful, who can make a content calendar, perform research, and then work semi-autonomously to generate content.

The work would mainly be making educational type videos that answer questions, creating product overviews, and shooting beauty shot stills of our local inventory. We are flexible with the formats and styling as long as it looks good and stops the scroll.

This is a hybrid position where filming will be conducted on-site in San Marcos, with video editing, social media management, and content planning done remotely or as a combination of both.

The owner may be available for limited on camera appearances and cameos but will not be available to be the primary influencer, spokesperson, or actor.

Required Duties:

• Content Creation: Plan, film, and produce engaging product overview videos, reels, and shorts for use on our website and social media platforms (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, Linkedin).
• Filming & Photography: Conduct on-site filming of product demonstrations and overviews using our old Cannon DSLR camera or using your own phone and/or camera.
• Capture high-quality still photography of our local inventory and upload the pictures to our e-commertce platform (Big Commerce)
• Video Editing: Edit videos to a semi-professional standard, adding appropriate music, voiceovers, text overlays, and graphics to create clear, informative, and engaging content.
• Content Strategy: Collaborate with the owner weekly to brainstorm and develop a content calendar, ensuring a consistent flow of fresh, relevant material.
• Social Media Management: Load finished videos and photos to all relevant social media accounts and the company website.
• Performance Analysis: Monitor video performance and social media analytics to understand what resonates with our audience and adjust the content strategy accordingly.

This would be a fairly laid back, early or late career position. However, we need someone who is comfortable on both sides of the camera and that will bring us results.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency with phones and cameras designed for vlogging or social media content creation.
• Competency with photo and video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Photoshop, Light House, or similar tools.
• Ability to record, edit, and integrate music and voiceovers into the video content.
• Solid understanding of social media platforms and the ability to interpret basic analytics.
• Excellent organizational skills and communication skills are a must.

Workload: 10 to 20 hours per week (Flexible), depending on the number of videos and posts committed to.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
