We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on, and growth-focused eCommerce Director to lead and elevate the direct-to-consumer (DTC) performance across our diverse portfolio of beauty brands. This is a highly strategic and visible role, where you will drive significant online revenue growth and deliver a seamless, high-converting customer experience across multiple digital channels. While you will be responsible for the long-term vision and scaling of our ecommerce operations, this role also requires a leader who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and diving deep into the tactical execution to ensure success.
You will manage the end-to-end DTC ecosystem, including eCommerce websites, social commerce platforms like TikTok Shop and Instagram Shopping, affiliate and loyalty programs, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives. You’ll work closely with our marketing, creative, and development teams to drive innovation, improve customer journeys, and optimize digital experiences that deliver results. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with global teams to create impactful digital brand experiences and bring them to life across multiple channels.
This is an on-site, full-time, no hybrid-option role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute growth strategies focused on customer acquisition, retention, and maximizing lifetime value across DTC channels.
- Oversee and optimize all owned digital platforms including DTC websites, social commerce platforms (TikTok Shop, Instagram Shopping), and mobile experiences to ensure seamless, high-converting customer journeys.
- Lead performance marketing initiatives, including affiliate partnerships, influencer-led commerce programs, and paid social campaigns, to drive awareness, traffic, and revenue.
- Drive customer retention and advocacy by managing and scaling loyalty programs, developing compelling offers, and ensuring alignment with broader brand strategies.
- Collaborate with brand marketing and creative teams to align on product launches, digital campaigns, and promotions, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints and driving cross-functional impact.
- Lead CRO initiatives by overseeing testing and optimization across all digital touchpoints to improve conversion rates, average order value, and overall user engagement.
- Manage a remote creative team to develop engaging digital brand experiences and assets that align with the overall brand vision and resonate with the target audience.
- Continuously monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics (KPIs), including traffic, conversion rate (CVR), average order value (AOV), customer acquisition cost (CAC), and customer lifetime value (CLV), and use insights to inform strategy and optimize performance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve user experience across all digital touchpoints, ensuring an elevated and consistent customer journey from discovery to post-purchase.
- Ensure the digital customer journey is continually evolving through ongoing A/B testing, customer feedback loops, and the latest trends in ecommerce technology and design.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in ecommerce, with at least 3 years in a leadership role and managing teams, ideally within the beauty, fashion, or consumer goods industries.
- Proven ability to drive and scale DTC revenue by developing and executing growth strategies, and leveraging digital marketing channels (affiliate, social commerce, influencer, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify Plus, Magento, etc.) and key analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Hotjar, Klaviyo, etc.), and a deep understanding of performance metrics.
- Experience with integrating third-party tools and platforms (e.g., loyalty programs, application integrations, etc.) into existing ecommerce systems.
- Strong background in CRO, UX optimization, and customer journey mapping to increase conversion rates, improve AOV, and enhance the overall user experience across digital touchpoints.
- Experience managing and scaling social commerce platforms such as TikTok Shop, Instagram Shopping, and influencer-led commerce partnerships.
- Leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to manage and inspire teams, and work effectively with remote or overseas teams.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present and align diverse stakeholders around ecommerce strategies and results.
- Experience in driving high-impact testing and optimization projects, and a proven track record of making data-driven decisions to continuously improve results.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to balance high-level strategic thinking and hands-on tactical execution.
