. This position is contract to hire.
Overview:
The Community Management Specialist (CMS) plays a key role in the marketing department, by both engaging with the current KessCo fan audience across all platforms as well as growing that audience. The CMS works closely with the brand voice team to create and implement short-form content that matches the KessCo brand voice and is appealing to current social media trends.The CMS engages new audience through managing influencer partnerships as well as working closely with field teams to provide local game store activations. Success in this position will be measured by consistency of community engagement.
Responsibilities & Duties:
· Write in the Brand Voice in all audience-facing communications
· Manage and grow the email subscriber list
· Write and send monthly and special event email newsletters
· Foster positive relationships with members of the reviewer list, as well as grow that list by developing relationships with new influencers in the space
· Manage a calendar of earned and paid content around product launches and ongoing content for evergreen product
· Work with external partners to create a calendar of LGS activations around product launches, managing the mailing for street team members as well as follow-ups for post-event reports
· Film, edit, and post short-form videos, with themselves as the on-camera talent
· Engage community through posts, comment replies, inbox message answers, and digital activations across social media platforms including, but not limited to: Discord, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and BlueSky
· Support other projects within the Marketing Department as needed
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or commiserate experience in Marketing, Communications, or multi-platform community management
· Experience writing in a brand voice and ability to code-switch between professional communications and communicating as the brand
· Experience keeping a calendar of deliverables and managing both time and communications to successfully deliver those items
· Ability to use Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets to organize projects and track internal and external deliverables
· Ability to film short-form content, giving thought to lighting, sound design, framing, and pacing
· Ability to edit short-form content in Capcut or similar
· Familiarity with social media best practices and willingness to engage with trends that fit the brand voice
· Familiarity with email marketing best practices
· Willingness to bring new ideas to the team
· Willingness to collaborate in the office in West LA is a plus
