The Senior Director of Brand Marketing & Public Relations is a hybrid brand architect, storyteller, strategist, and relationship-builder who will define how AREA15 shows up across culture, media, partners, and the marketplace. This leader will guide the brand voice, steward our PR and communications architecture, and ensure every message—from a campus milestone to a major attraction opening—is consistent, compelling, and impossible to ignore.

You will partner closely with the CMO to elevate the AREA15 masterbrand, lead brand-level campaigns, oversee PR strategy, and build a flywheel between creativity, earned media, partnerships, social, and experiential moments.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Own AREA15’s brand narrative, positioning, and voice; ensure consistency across all internal and external touchpoints.
  • Develop annual brand marketing plans aligned with business goals, priorities, and major programming milestones.
  • Build and maintain brand guidelines, toolkits, and messaging frameworks for internal teams and external partners.
  • Develop big-picture brand campaigns that drive top-of-funnel awareness and foot traffic to the campus.
  • Lead strategic PR planning, including corporate communications, attraction announcements, tenant openings, and major events.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for PR Agency coordinating media/influencer opportunities
  • Own industry conference calendar and coordinate brand presence, speaker engagements and sponsorships where appropriate.
  • Oversee creation of press releases, media kits, key message documents, and briefing materials.
  • Ideate and drive 360° brand marketing campaigns that integrate PR, brand partnerships, digital, social, email, and on-property activations.
  • Collaborate with social, digital, content, and events teams to build cohesive storytelling that aligns with brand strategy.
  • Lead creative development for brand expressions including video content, photography, copywriting, experiential branding, and brand-level promotional assets.
  • Support attraction-level stories and PR opportunities without cannibalizing or diluting masterbrand messaging.
  • Work closely with tenants, attractions, promoters, sponsors, and campus partners to ensure brand cohesion and PR amplification.
  • Develop and manage strategic alliances with tourism partners (LVCVA, airline partners, OTAs, influencers, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Events, Programming, F&B, Retail, and Sales to support initiatives with brand marketing and PR visibility.
  • Manage a growing team including a marketing and PR coordinator, brand content creators, and external PR/agency partners.
  • Cultivate a culture of creativity, accountability, collaboration, and bold storytelling.
  • Oversee budgets, forecasting, reporting, and performance metrics across brand and PR workstreams.
  • Be available to respond to time-sensitive matters.
  • Demonstrate ART! (AREA15's service standards) in every guest interaction.
  • Adhere to department and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional, polished appearance in line with AREA15 standards.
  • Work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Comfortable working in a creative, entrepreneurial start-up environment, introducing new concepts and innovations
  • 7-10+ years of experience in brand marketing, public relations, communications, or integrated marketing roles, preferably in the Las Vegas market.
  • Deep understanding of experiential entertainment, hospitality, tourism, nightlife, or consumer lifestyle brands, preferably in the Las Vegas market.
  • Must possess extensive knowledge of the Las Vegas market, including key industry, customer, and competitive dynamics.
  • Proven track record of developing impactful brand campaigns and securing high-quality earned media.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and narrative-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage media relationships and act as an on-record or background spokesperson.
  • Strong creative instincts with the ability to translate strategy into compelling content and activations.
  • Experience managing teams, agencies, and cross-functional workflows.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, highly creative environment with multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities..
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat, sun exposure, wind, rain, extreme cold.
  • Ability to understand, speak, read, and write the English language.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft applications. (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • Availability for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in an environment subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, flashing lights, and smoke.
