Junior Marketing Coordinator — Luxury Nail Salon (Midtown Manhattan) (not a social-media-only role)
Full-time
New York, NY, US
$50k - $53k
About the job
About us
We’re a premium Russian-style manicure & pedicure salon in Midtown Manhattan. We’re looking for a smart, organized Junior Marketing Coordinator to fully own and execute our marketing communications across digital + in-salon touchpoints—keeping everything polished, consistent, and “luxury-level.”
Responsibilities
A) In-salon marketing & client communications (core ownership)
You will fully own the execution of all in-salon marketing communications and materials, including:
- Ensure all client-facing communications inside the salon are always up-to-date, premium-looking, and consistent with our brand.
- Create and maintain printed materials: service menus, price lists, promotions, seasonal offers, membership/loyalty info, gift card info, aftercare cards, referral cards, “new services” announcements, signage, front desk scripts/FAQs, etc.
- Own all handoffs and takeaways: what we give clients (cards, inserts, aftercare, referral, gift materials), and how it looks and reads.
- Maintain in-salon visual presentation standards: displays, countertop materials, waiting area messaging, product/service highlights, and overall “what the client sees” experience.
- Coordinate packaging / POS / giveaways: packaging inserts, gift bags, stickers, cards, small branded items.
- Work with the owner/team to keep the salon’s service presentation clear: what we offer, how it’s explained, what makes it premium, and how clients discover add-ons/upgrades while in the salon.
- Manage vendor printing orders and timelines: preparing files, specs, revisions, reprints, inventory of materials.
B) Brand consistency
- Maintain brand consistency across all visual and communication touchpoints (digital + in-salon).
- Keep a simple brand system: fonts/colors/templates, “approved” wording for services, promos, and tone of voice.
C) Content shoots & creative coordination
- Plan and coordinate content shoots with photographers/videographers/designers.
- Manage deliverables: shot lists, deadlines, file organization, basic edits using templates.
D) Digital presence
- Manage and oversee external social media contractors (content creator/SMM).
- Manage and update digital channels: Instagram, TikTok, Google Business Profile, Yelp.
- Keep profiles accurate, aligned with current offers, and optimized for conversion (clear CTA, links, service highlights).
E) Promotions, seasonal campaigns, and offers
- Create and manage promotions, seasonal campaigns, and special offers.
- Ensure offers are consistent everywhere: in-salon signage, front desk materials, online profiles, and any take-home inserts.
F) Loyalty, memberships, and gift cards
- Support loyalty programs, memberships, and gift card sales through clear materials and ongoing communication (digital + in-salon).
- Maintain up-to-date membership/loyalty messaging and in-salon presentation.
G) Paid ads & reporting (structured support)
- Assist with paid ads (Meta Ads / Google Ads): basic setup support, creative swaps, tracking, and reporting.
(Advanced optimization can be guided by the owner or a contractor; you won’t be left alone without structure.)
- Analyze competitors, market trends, and client behavior; prepare monthly performance reports (simple dashboard-style).
H) Guest experience support
- Support high-end guest experience through marketing communications and a feedback loop.
- Help monitor in-salon client satisfaction signals (what clients ask, what confuses them, what converts them) and translate it into better on-site materials.
Requirements (Junior-friendly)
- Early-career marketer (recent grads welcome). Internship/projects/coursework accepted.
- Strong organization and ability to manage many small deliverables with deadlines.
- Basic/intermediate Canva skills (Figma/Photoshop a plus).
- Good taste and understanding of premium/luxury aesthetics.
- Comfortable coordinating with contractors (photo/video/print).
- Analytical mindset: can track inquiries, bookings, and basic campaign metrics.
- Ownership, reliability, ability to execute independently.
KPIs
- Growth of inquiries and bookings (tracked weekly).
- In-salon conversion support: materials always current + promo execution on time (no “old prices” / “stale signage”).
- Engagement & follower growth trend (supporting KPI).
- Ad tracking & reporting quality (CPL/CPA basics; optimization supported).
- Performance of loyalty/membership/gift card pushes (communication executed consistently).
This position is NOT
- Not a “social media influencer/content creator” role.
- Not cold-calling or telemarketing.
- Not a senior “marketing director/manager” role.
