Overview of the Role
Our enterprise telecommunications client is seeking a Senior Social Media Analyst to join their team! The ideal candidate will transform social performance data into actionable insights that guide brand, content, and community strategy. This role manages end-to-end reporting across social platforms, leveraging analytics and listening tools to monitor trends, measure campaign effectiveness, and identify opportunities for optimization. The analyst partners with cross-functional teams to deliver data-backed recommendations that enhance engagement, strengthen brand reputation, and support business objectives.
The Basics
- Duration: 12 months, likely to convert to full-time (as expressed by the hiring team)
- Hours: 40 hours/week
- Location: Onsite 4 days/week in Stamford, CT highly preferred; remote considered for highly qualified candidates (EST hours required)
Top 3 Required Qualifications
- Social Media Expertise: 5+ years in social analytics with deep experience across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Meta, and Reddit.
- Analytics Tools Proficiency: Skilled in Hootsuite (required), plus experience with tools like Sprout, Brandwatch/Talkwalker, and data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
- Execution in Fast-Paced Environments: Proven ability to translate data into clear insights and strategic recommendations, operating effectively under tight timelines.
Other Qualifications
- Strong understanding of social behavior, platform metrics, and competitive benchmarking
- Experience conducting social listening and brand reputation monitoring
- Ability to build weekly/monthly reports, post-campaign recaps, and influencer performance summaries
- Highly organized communicator with experience presenting insights to leadership
- Familiarity with large organizational workflows and cross-functional collaboration
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze social performance across multiple platforms, identifying trends and optimization opportunities
- Conduct social listening to track sentiment, emerging conversations, and cultural moments
- Develop and deliver comprehensive reports, including campaign recaps and competitive benchmarking
- Partner with marketing, creative, influencer, paid media, and communications teams to provide actionable insights
- Support brand reputation initiatives through proactive monitoring and reporting
- Ensure timely execution of analytics deliverables in a fast-paced, social-first environment
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
