Duties

• Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies to promote organizational initiatives, events, and achievements.
• Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media advisories, speeches, and other communication materials following AP style guidelines to ensure clarity and professionalism.
• Cultivate strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, and media outlets to secure coverage and enhance media presence.
• Manage social media accounts by creating engaging content, monitoring interactions, and analyzing performance metrics to maximize outreach.
• Conduct research on industry trends, public opinion, and competitor activities to inform strategic communication efforts.
• Serve as the organization’s spokesperson for media interviews, public appearances, and community events through effective public speaking and presentation skills.
• Proofread all communication materials meticulously to maintain accuracy, consistency, and high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to develop campaigns that align with organizational goals while maintaining a cohesive voice across all channels.
• Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on PR activities’ effectiveness to inform future strategies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in public relations, journalism, or related fields with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.
• Exceptional writing skills with proficiency in AP style for clear and professional communication.
• Strong research abilities to gather insights that shape impactful messaging strategies.
• Excellent media relations skills with a track record of securing positive coverage across various outlets.
• Skilled in public speaking with confidence in representing the organization publicly or during interviews.
• Proficiency in social media management tools and content creation for diverse platforms.
• Sharp editing and proofreading skills to ensure all materials are error-free and polished.
