Freelance Live Shopper

As a Freelance Live Shopper, you will host live shopping events for our video marketplace using our proprietary technology, which allows you to create a fully shoppable video in under 30 seconds. You’ll curate luxury items in real time as you shop, film short product videos, build relationships with sales associates and retailers, respond to customer inquiries, and coordinate purchase orders with our fulfillment and operations teams.

This is a freelance role with no minimum required number of events per week. You’ll earn a set rate per event plus commission on sales, giving you full control over your schedule and unlimited earning potential - the more you sell, the more you earn.

Responsibilities:

• Build relationships with luxury retailers and store associates to curate a strong daily selection of products for customers.
• Host engaging live shopping events and create short, high-quality shoppable videos showcasing products.
• Develop a loyal clientele on our platform, similar to an influencer, through consistent engagement and excellent customer service via the app.
• Meet or exceed event sales goals as directed by ShopThing.
• Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by responding to customer inquiries (pre and post events) through chat via the app.
• Develop long lasting relationships with sales associates and customers that lead to an increase in sales.
• Create and manage your shopping schedule, with regards to what retailers to visit and length of time spent at each location.
• Meet quality standards for video content, product selection, and customer experience as outlined by our team.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when capturing product information for fulfillment.
• Coordinate with the fulfillment and operations teams to ensure accurate orders and smooth processing.

Compensation Structure:

• Set flat rate per event hosted (paid regardless of sales volume).
• Commission on all sales you generate, with rates increasing as your sales performance grows.
• No weekly minimums - host as many or as few events as you determine with our team.

Qualifications:

• Strong passion for shopping, fashion, luxury goods, and current trends.
• Comfortable on camera with an engaging on-screen presence.
• Solid knowledge of luxury brands and products.
• Ability to travel frequently within your market (approx. 80%+).
• iPhone required (our platform operates primarily on iOS).
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as desired.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced, ever-changing start-up environment.
• Experience in retail, sales, fashion, entertainment, or influencing is a plus.
