Ministry Function:

The Innovation & Engagement Director supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by advancing the organization's mission through meaningful engagement with donors and influencers aged 18–29. This role focuses on millennials and Gen Z, overseeing campaigns and experiences that boost awareness and fundraising. It involves cultivating strategic partnerships and crafting engagement strategies and events tailored to connect with emerging audiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops, launches, and manages peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns that empower individuals and communities to engage with COH’s mission.
  • Builds and stewards relationships with millennials, Gen Z donors, and influencer partners to drive campaign success and long-term engagement.
  • Creates and executes innovative, donor-facing experiences and events that align with COH’s voice and values.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to create campaign assets, digital content, and social tools that equip supporters to raise awareness and funds.
  • Serves as a brand ambassador who can passionately and authentically share COH’s mission in diverse settings—from digital platforms to live events.
  • Manages and grows a portfolio of donor accounts, providing consistent communication, reporting, and customized touchpoints.
  • Represents COH at events, speaking engagements, and campaign activations, both domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Partners with the Innovative Cultural Engagement leadership to shape long-term strategy for engaging younger audiences and cultivating a culture of generosity.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Three plus years’ experience in fundraising, influencer marketing, creative campaigns, or donor engagement.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, peer-to-peer strategies, and generational giving trends.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills that drives inspiration and connection with diverse groups of people.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to trave frequently, both domestically and internationally.
  • Attends and actively participates in COH At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
  • Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
  • Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
  • As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization's religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
