POSITION SUMMARY:

Pets Global, Inc is an independent holistic wellness company founded on a passion for animal welfare. With our brands Zignature Dog Food, Fussie Cat, Essence, Inception Dog and Cat Food we strive to not only help pets to live longer, healthier lives, but also enrich the lives of their owners by caring for the nutrition their pets are offered. Pets-Global is currently seeking an experienced individual to fill the position of Communications Specialist reporting directly to the Marketing Manager and serve as a key contributor within the Marketing department. This role requires the Communications Specialist to be highly productive, detail-oriented professional with experience across digital marketing, advertising, email marketing, public relations, and internal communications. The Communications Specialist will support the creation and execution of creative campaigns, promote cross-departmental collaboration, manage project timelines and priorities, and ensure all internal and external communications are clear, timely, and aligned with brand standards. This position calls for a strategic thinker with exceptional writing skills—one who proactively contributes ideas, efficiently manages multiple workflows, and consistently delivers high-quality results with professionalism and enthusiasm. Management may assign or modify duties and responsibilities as needed to align with business needs or provide reasonable accommodation. Exercising discretion, maintaining confidentiality, and demonstrating sound independent judgment are essential requirements of this role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or digital advertising.
  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in marketing, ad, and email platforms, and social/digital reporting tools.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Management: Support the coordination and execution of omnichannel marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with broader marketing objectives, campaign timelines, and team resources.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination: Maintain and update the marketing calendar to ensure alignment of social, email, advertising, PR, and activation initiatives.
  • Advertising: Assist with the ideation and implementation of paid advertising campaigns, including TV/streaming, social media, Google Ads, e-commerce, and other B2B and consumer platforms.
  • Public Relations: Support the drafting, editing, pitching and distributing of PR materials such as press releases and media alerts, collaborate on media outreach, monitor media mentions, and track results.
  • Digital Marketing: Help coordinate digital coupons, online promotions, and additional lead magnets, ensuring alignment and flow across platforms.
  • Email Marketing: Assist with the creation, testing, and monitoring of email campaigns and flows, using tools like Klaviyo, and support campaign optimization through A/B testing, segmentation, and reporting.
  • Blog/Copywriting: Contribute to blog content workflows—including brainstorming ideas, researching/fact-checking, light editing, possible formatting, image sourcing, and publishing, and work collaboratively to deploy effective, on-brand messaging across channels.
  • Logistics: Support philanthropic, influencer and ambassador programs with ordering, shipping, tracking, and acting as liaison as needed.
  • Research/Reputation: Assist with market/pet industry research projects, including new market opportunities, competitor benchmarking, and monitoring or gathering customer feedback through surveys or direct outreach.
  • Reporting: Regularly track, compile, and present data from digital marketing platforms, such as ad performance, email metrics, blog engagement, and social trends, in visual formats to help guide strategy.
  • Teamwork: Perform other related duties as assigned by management, contributing as a flexible and reliable team player across all initiatives.
  • Passion: Ability to work closely with dogs, cats, and people.
  • Travel: This is an in-office position, Monday through Friday, that could include weekends, trade show events, meetings with retailers or philanthropic partners, or other off-site activations.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
