WECA is seeking a dynamic Regional Relationship Manager to lead member outreach, foster industry partnerships, and execute high-impact events across Utah and neighboring regions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Develop and implement member growth and engagement strategies aligned with WECA’s organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Membership, Marketing, and Government Relations to achieve member growth, engagement, and retention.
  • Identify and pursue new members through networking, outreach, and targeted campaigns.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with members, contractors, and industry partners.
  • Conduct in-person member visits and deliver strategic insights to inform organizational planning.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for members, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Government Relations & Legislative Advocacy

  • Develop and maintain a strong network of government relations contacts and industry affiliates.
  • Track and report legislation impacting WECA and advise members on relevant political issues.
  • Facilitate opportunities for members and elected officials to engage.
  • Coordinate member participation in advocacy campaigns and legislative visits.
  • Cultivate relationships with key influencers and decision-makers in the business and political communities.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of member interactions, engagement efforts, and recruitment activities.
  • Oversee collection and analysis of engagement metrics; prepare strategic reports for executive leadership and the Board.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to recommend improvements to member programs and services.

Communications & Outreach

  • Represent WECA at industry events, networking functions, and community outreach activities.
  • Lead member recognition programs and engagement campaigns.
  • Provide high-level support and guidance to members regarding training, dues, and regulatory updates.
  • Liaise with sponsors, vendors, and educational institutions to enhance member offerings.

Onboarding & Member Support

  • Lead onboarding for new members, ensuring understanding of WECA benefits and compliance requirements.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance member value and experience.

Physical & Work Environment

  • Typical office environment; frequent walking throughout office and classroom settings.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work and travel required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Relationship building and strategic engagement skills.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; diplomatic and friendly style.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to create tactical action plans.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, management, administration, planning, budgeting, research, and member relationship development.
  • Data management and analytical skills for reporting and recommendations.
  • Knowledge of government processes and legislative advocacy.
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a remote environment.
  • Adaptability to changing assignments and multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Prior experience with contractor membership organizations in the construction industry is a plus.
  • Previous government relations employment is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $71,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
