Bilingual (Japanese) E-commerce Manager

Hamana Trading Inc. is a growing California-based e-commerce company that imports and sells Japanese products across several online channels. Our product categories range widely, including esports gear, hand tools, and industrial materials.

We are now seeking a full-time Bilingual (Japanese) E-commerce Manager to support our next stage of growth. This role combines e-commerce operations, marketing, and content creation, and is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on, fast-moving startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Operations (Fulfillment & Support)

• Daily order fulfillment, packing, and shipping prep
• Customer service (mainly in English)
• Inventory tracking and restock coordination
• Basic warehouse tasks and workflow improvements

- Marketing & Content

• Plan and create social media content (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
• Produce simple product visuals and short-form content
• Assist with product photography
• Support influencer outreach and community engagement

- Product & Listing Management

• Create and update product listings
• Ensure accurate titles, descriptions, and images

- Business Support

• Assist with new product launches and service ideas
• Work with the founder on small projects and improvements

Qualifications

- Required

• Native-level Japanese (reading, writing, business communication)
• Business-level English
• 1+ year of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, business development, or related fields
• Strong work ethic and ability to adapt in a small startup
• Comfortable with both computer tasks and warehouse work
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship)
• On-site work in Costa Mesa, CA

- Preferred

• Experience with Shopify or Amazon Seller Central
• Social media or content creation experience
• Basic Canva/Photoshop editing skills

Job Details

• Job Type: Full-time, Exempt (Salary)
• Salary: $50,000 – $70,000 per year (DOE)
• Location: Costa Mesa, CA (on-site only)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday (standard daytime hours)
