Marketing Director – National Restaurant Franchise Group

We are a rapidly growing restaurant group with 45 franchised locations across 15 U.S. states and four corporate-owned restaurants. As the franchisor, we are focused on aggressive expansion, brand development, and driving same-store sales growth. We are seeking a dynamic Marketing Director to lead all marketing efforts across the system, oversee brand consistency, grow our digital presence, and support both consumer-facing and franchise development initiatives.
Position Summary
The Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s overall marketing strategy to improve brand visibility, increase sales across all units, and elevate our presence within the franchise industry. This individual will direct all aspects of marketing—including digital and social media, loyalty program management, creative/design, public relations, and franchise development marketing—while working closely with franchisees and the executive team.
This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on ability, a strong understanding of the restaurant and franchise space, and a passion for building brand momentum.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Marketing Strategy
- Develop and execute annual and quarterly marketing plans to grow sales, increase traffic, and strengthen brand identity across all units.
- Ensure brand consistency across franchise locations, corporate stores, and all marketing channels.
- Conduct market analysis to identify consumer trends, competitive insights, and growth opportunities.
Digital & Social Media Management
- Oversee and grow the company’s presence on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
- Drive significant increases in engagement, reach, and follower growth through strategic content planning and execution.
- Manage content calendars, influencer partnerships, and community engagement.
- Produce or coordinate the production of high-quality food photography, videos, and graphics.
Loyalty Program Oversight (Punchh)
- Manage and optimize the Punchh loyalty platform across all stores.
- Develop targeted promotions, campaigns, and segmented offers to drive frequency, spend, and guest retention.
- Analyze performance metrics and deliver actionable insights to franchisees and leadership.
Creative & Design Management
- Oversee the creation of marketing materials including digital assets, promotional flyers, menu boards, in-store POP, and video content.
- Either produce content internally or manage external agencies, freelancers, and creative partners.
- Maintain a digital asset library and ensure all creative follows brand standards.
Public Relations & Communications
- Lead PR initiatives to build brand awareness nationally and locally.
- Draft and distribute press releases for new store openings, franchise events, partnerships, and major announcements.
- Cultivate relationships with media outlets, bloggers, food writers, influencers, and industry publications.
Franchise Development Marketing
- Build and execute marketing strategies to promote franchise sales and expand our national footprint.
- Collaborate with the franchise development team to create collateral, digital campaigns, and PR pushes targeted at prospective franchise owners.
- Ensure strong brand storytelling and presence within franchise industry publications and events.
Franchisee Support & Collaboration
- Serve as the central resource for franchisees’ marketing needs, questions, and local-level initiatives.
- Host periodic marketing webinars, updates, and best-practice trainings for franchise operators.
- Review and approve local store marketing plans and campaigns.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track, measure, and report KPIs for campaigns, social media, PR, loyalty program performance, and other marketing efforts.
- Use data-driven insights to guide continuous improvement and future strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred but not required).
- 7+ years of marketing experience, ideally within restaurant, retail, hospitality, or franchise organizations.
- Demonstrated success in managing and growing major social media channels.
- Experience with loyalty platforms (Punchh strongly preferred) and CRM-driven marketing.
- Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Skilled in content creation (photo/video) or experience managing creative teams/agencies.
- Knowledge of PR strategy, media relations, and press release distribution.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented franchisor environment.
- Flexible, collaborative, and hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
