We are rolling out new national brands in deli and freezer (Upper Cut, Mad Genius) and many new licensing opportunities with world class brands.
Today we have a new big bet! This Performance Protein Bar is built for athletes, competitors, and fans who demand peak performance. In partnership with the a major sports and entertainment brand , this new nutrition brand delivers high-protein, clean-energy products designed for the intensity of combat sports — and the discipline of everyday champions.
We’re looking for a Brand Manager who can bring this vision to life — from shaping the brand’s identity and storytelling to leading go-to-market strategies and driving explosive growth across DTC and eCommerce channels.
The Role
As the Brand Manager , you’ll be the driving force behind the launch and growth of the Performance Protein Bar brand. You will lead brand positioning, campaign development, and omnichannel growth strategy — with a particular focus on direct-to-consumer (DTC) and digital commerce . This role blends brand building, performance marketing, and eCommerce operations to deliver measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Leadership & Strategy
- Define and evolve the brand’s identity, voice, and positioning in alignment with our sports & entertainment brand partner’s values and audience.
- Lead creative development alongside agency partners and across packaging, website, content, and campaign storytelling.
- Partner with sports/entertainment brand’s marketing and licensing teams to ensure brand consistency and maximize synergy.
- Go-to-Market Execution
- Own the launch strategy for the Performance Protein Bar — from pre-launch hype to national rollout.
- Develop and manage integrated campaigns across digital, social, influencer, retail, and experiential channels.
- Oversee media planning, creative production, and agency relationships.
- DTC & eCommerce Growth
- Build and manage a high-performing DTC site and Amazon storefront.
- Drive growth through performance marketing (paid social, search, affiliate, influencer).
- Optimize funnel conversion, CRM, and retention initiatives.
- Lead data-driven insights to improve customer acquisition, LTV, and brand engagement.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with Product, Sales, Operations, and brand partner Licensing to align objectives and execution.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L accountability for the brand.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of brand management or marketing experience, ideally in CPG, sports nutrition, or performance lifestyle brands.
- Proven success in DTC/eCommerce brand growth — from site optimization to digital acquisition and retention.
- Strong understanding of consumer insights, digital analytics, and performance metrics .
- Experience leading creative campaigns and managing external partners or agencies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Passion for fitness and preferably knowledgeable about the combat sports industry.
