(Denver, CO — Part-Time • Contract • 1099 • No employment benefits implied)

About Us

ILONA Beauty and its family of brands create high-end skincare and cosmetics with a legacy of craftsmanship and care. Founded in 1971 in Denver by skincare pioneer Ilona, our brand helped introduce American women and men to the refined art of European skincare. Today, we’re re-energizing that heritage through modern innovation, e-commerce, and storytelling that connects a new generation with timeless standards of beauty.

The Role

We’re seeking an Administrative & Marketing Assistant who’s organized, curious, and eager to be part of a growing beauty brand. This position blends administrative coordination with creative marketing support — ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, loves learning about brand building, and enjoys seeing ideas come to life across digital platforms.

This is a part-time, independent-contractor position designed for someone who can take initiative and manage multiple priorities. For the right person, there is genuine potential for the role to expand in scope and responsibility as our projects evolve.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and help manage the brand’s marketing calendar and timelines
  • Track projects, updates, and key deliverables across campaigns
  • Schedule virtual meetings, take notes, and organize agenda points
  • Support coordination between creative, marketing, and operations teams
  • Help keep shared files organized (Dropbox, Google Drive, Notion, etc.)
  • Work closely with leadership on marketing and product launch planning
  • Prepare campaign briefs and collaborate on assets (emails, web, social, Amazon)
  • Review and schedule marketing emails (Klaviyo)
  • Monitor product listings, reviews, and basic performance metrics
  • Assist with light copy coordination, Shopify updates, and Amazon support tasks
  • Shadow the company’s marketing executive to gain hands-on brand experience

What You Bring

  • A proactive, self-managing approach — you see what needs to be done and do it
  • Strong written communication and note-taking skills
  • Excellent organization and follow-through
  • Comfort working cross-functionally in a small, collaborative environment
  • Ability to balance creative and administrative work with equal enthusiasm
  • Familiarity or comfort learning tools such as:
  • o Shopify, Amazon Seller Central
  • o Klaviyo (or similar email platforms)
  • o Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
  • o Canva, Notion, Dropbox
  • o Microsoft Office Suite

* Bonus: strong eye for design and a working knowledge of ChatGPT or AI tools

Helpful Backgrounds & Experience

While not required, the following types of prior experience will help you stand out:

  • Experience with a direct-to-consumer (DTC) brand, particularly in beauty, wellness, or lifestyle
  • Background in a digital marketing agency or boutique creative studio environment
  • Work experience with a boutique skincare, fragrance, or cosmetic brand
  • Prior role within a consumer products company in a marketing, content, or creative capacity
  • Exposure to e-commerce operations, campaign coordination, or influencer marketing
  • Comfort collaborating remotely with designers, photographers, and content creators
  • A natural appreciation for luxury aesthetics, detail, and storytelling

Ideal Candidate

If you’re someone who naturally gravitates toward high-end beauty, enjoys the behind-the-scenes development of campaigns and product launches, and wants to grow with a respected heritage brand reinventing itself for today’s digital world — we’d love to hear from you.
