Social Media Manager and Content Creator

Captain Jay’s Fish & Chicken is one of the fastest-growing restaurant chains in the Midwest — known for our crispy chicken, golden fish, and community-first vibe. We’re expanding fast and looking for a Social Media Manager who can capture the heart and hustle of the brand — someone creative, on camera, and ready to tell our story to the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the social media calendar across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube etc.
• Be comfortable on camera — creating fun, authentic videos that capture the Captain Jay’s experience. (Interviews, storytimes, trends, promotions/specials, challenges, videos about our brand/history etc.)
• Plan and execute photoshoots for new menu items, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
• Host and promote events and product launches — both in-store and online.
• Find and collaborate with local influencers and community creators who align with the brand.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and brand fans, engaging through comments, DMs, and reposts.
• Create storytime-style content that highlights our people, culture, and customer stories.
• Track and analyze performance metrics to grow engagement and followers.
• Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to align social media strategy with brand goals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing social media for a brand (restaurant, retail, or food industry preferred).
• Confident and natural on camera
• Skilled in mobile video creation, editing, and trend-based storytelling.
• Creative eye for photography and visual content.
• Understanding of TikTok and Instagram trends, sounds, and engagement strategies.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Passion for community, culture, and great food!
