General Purpose:

The digital content coordinator must have strong communication skills, creativity, social media strategic skill set and a passion for photography and video production. The ideal candidate is flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced environment and can successfully manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. Must be a strong team player, while also thriving as an independent contributor. A passion for multi-media creation, talking with people (be it friends or strangers) and mountain sports is necessary. This is a Part-Time position.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Content Creation

  • Collaborate with the broader marketing team to set annual and quarterly content goals shot lists, and the associated prioritization
  • Meet weekly with Marketing Manager to collaborate on outlining upcoming shoot dates with the broader marketing, public relations and events team
  • Partner with key stakeholders within operating departments to strategize the type of content recommended to meet their KPIs and coordinate with each team to schedule shoots
  • Safely shoot video and photo content with guidance from overall company goals
  • Timely dissemination of choice images and video assets to key stakeholders including the public relations and human resource teams
  • Organize and keep a record of model authorization forms and photo/video use agreements
  • Communicate shoot dates, locations, models, and outcomes with the broader marketing team and operations departments
  • Optimize video content on the website using the Yoast SEO Video plugin
  • Label and organize content into Google Drive and manage the Wordpress and BeePro media galleries
  • Proficient in directing storylines, filming interview content, and conducting interview-style shoots with resort departments and off-site subjects.

Social Media

  • Produce content and perform daily management and publishing of Brian Head Resort content on assigned social platforms using native platform tools or 3rd party applications.
  • Create original videos, repurpose influencer videos, stills and other content for distribution on assigned social platforms with necessary approvals.
  • Provide a monthly status report on content performance per channel and reporting on key trends, topics, guest feedback, etc.
  • Leverage relevant social media trends, partner talents, and in-house content to keep a constant stream of entertaining, instructional and inspirational content.
  • Analyze metrics and use an entrepreneurial mindset to grow the audience, impact, and engagement.
  • Own the social media content calendar clearly outlining social media output and timing
  • Respond to social media inquiries using only the highest level of customer service including but not limited to the accuracy of the information, appropriate brand tone, courtesy, timeliness, correct grammar, etc.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on social media contests and giveaways; execute across designated channels
  • Support other departments with social media training and content needs; monitor other internal accounts using Brian Heads social media guidelines and best practices

Communications

  • Update resort websites regularly with an eye for what drives guests to purchase/take action while executing flawless content (no grammar errors, typos, etc.)
  • Support the development of newsletters for Brian Head with a key focus on copy and image selection
  • Support push and SMS/MMS campaigns
  • Support digital signage content
  • Manage and maintain online databases
  • Serve as a point of contact for social media DMs and comments

Education and Experience

  • Must be able to ski/snowboard and bike the majority of the mountain to successfully capture content.
  • Must be proactive, multifaceted, capable of working on concurrent complex projects, and able to communicate effectively to internal team members, creators, vendors, and other partners.
  • Great editorial judgment. Ability to adopt and maintain brand voice.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, video editing software and other creative tools a plus.
  • Avid user of social networking sites including X, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and others with solid understanding of the current feature set of each platform with an eye on new product features.
  • College degree in related major, creative/marketing/communications focus. (Preferred, not required)

Bonus Points: A passion for skiing or snowboarding, drone license, ability to ski/snowboard all levels of terrain, experience with WordPress, CRM software (Basecamp, Trello, etc), an ESP (BeePro, Acoustic, etc), and a social media scheduler is a plus (Sked).

Position Type and Expected Work Hours

  • Part-Time, seasonal position
  • Responsive to all snow conditions to shoot timely content and deliver to marketing team on time
  • Need to have flexible working hours and can work weekends and holidays based on business levels
  • 60% of time is spent indoors in a normal office setting in front of a computer creating content and working with design programs and content storage. 40% is spent outside gathering content
