Public Relations and Social Media Coordinator Job Description
At Felipe’s, we throw a party every day. The Public Relations and Social Media Coordinator engages with the community to promote the Felipe’s Fiesta. The Coordinator manages social media and guest engagement on various online platforms while working with the Brand Manager and Home Office to execute marketing initiatives. The coordinator works at least 40 hours a week, but it should be anticipated that more hours may be required. Remember, our team supports restaurant operations on weekends and at night. This individual will work at the Home Office in New Orleans and visit the restaurants regularly. They will create content, engage with the team and guests, and understand how marketing and community engagement initiatives flow through operations.#### PR and Social Media Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate with Felipe's team members, guests, media, and influencers.
- Manage and monitor Felipe's Google, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Website, X, and other outward-facing platforms.
- Promote positive public relations by generating timely press releases to the media and social media posts and connecting with the correct outlets to increase visibility with the media during our various marketing and community initiatives.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships and an updated contact list with the news media in Naples, FL, and New Orleans.
- Serve as a content manager and writer of blogs for felipestaqueria.com.
- Help manage and support The Felipe's Team with events at the restaurants or offsite.
- While this is the vast majority of responsibilities, this individual must realize that, at times will be required to support operations at the restaurants.
PR and Social Media Coordinator Qualifications:
- Strong writing and editing skills with experience in the distribution of press releases
- A self-starter who combines a level of creativity with strong organization & communication skills
- Knowledge of social networking tools and platforms (Instagram, Google, Facebook, YouTube, X, etc.)
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or Media Marketing
- Experience in Social media, website writing, media relations, and Google business is helpful.
