Position Overview:
Texas Care is seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketing/Community Liaison Intern to join our team. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community engagement, outreach, and event planning. The intern will play a vital role in promoting Texas Care’s mission, services, and initiatives, while building and maintaining relationships with key community stakeholders. This position is ideal for someone passionate about community development, marketing, and social impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Event Planning and Hosting:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of community events that promote Texas Care’s services and engage community members.
- Collaborate with team members to create engaging, informative, and impactful events.
- Identify Community Gatekeepers:
- Research and identify key community influencers and organizations.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with these gatekeepers to facilitate collaboration and community access.
- Community Outreach and Education:
- Conduct outreach efforts to inform community leaders and members about Texas Care’s mission, services, and initiatives.
- Organize and participate in presentations, informational sessions, and other outreach activities.
- Needs Assessment and Feedback Collection:
- Gather feedback from community members to understand their needs, preferences, and concerns.
- Use this feedback to inform and adjust Texas Care’s services and outreach strategies.
- Issue Resolution and Conflict Mediation:
- Act as a mediator in resolving conflicts or issues that may arise between Texas Care, its franchisees, and the community.
- Work towards finding amicable and mutually beneficial solutions.
- Community Partnership Development:
- Identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration with community leaders, organizations, and groups.
- Support initiatives, programs, and events that align with community needs and priorities.
- Program Development and Support:
- Assist in the development and support of programs that benefit the community, such as workshops, camps, and educational sessions.
- Focus on programs that improve health, wellness, and quality of life.
- Cultural Sensitivity and Understanding:
- Pay close attention to cultural nuances and sensitivities in each community served.
- Ensure that Texas Care’s services are culturally competent and responsive to the diverse needs of the community.
- Collaboration with IT Director:
- Work closely with the IT Director to plan and execute social media strategies that enhance Texas Care’s online presence.
- Contribute to digital marketing efforts to effectively reach target audiences and amplify outreach initiatives.
- Reporting and Performance Metrics:
- Provide regular reports on community engagement activities, partnership developments, and feedback collected.
- Institute and track quarterly growth metrics to evaluate the success of partnerships and contribute to the growth of Texas Care centers.

Our Services
We provide Community-Based Mental Health Rehabilitation services to youths and adults across Texas. These services, which include Skills Training and Development, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Medication Management, and Crisis Intervention, are primarily delivered in the individual’s environment to enhance their functioning at school, work, or in personal relationships. We also offer specialized Counseling Services with individual, family, youth, and couples therapy, recognizing the uniqueness of each client and their specific needs. Additionally, we extend our support to schools, offering on-site or online mental health services for students facing social and emotional challenges.
